Made for the exhibit "Bridges" I interpreted the theme in its most literal sense. Born in southern California, the word brings to mind the Golden Gate bridge. I used this vertical view because I think it depicts the majesty of the bridge. I wanted to capture the height, the wind and the vastness of the view with this quilt. 

Materials: Hand dyed fabrics, batiks, cording, embroidery floss, beads, paint and yarn.

Techniques: Applique, painting, hand and machine stitching.
