It looks a little like a Jetson space ship so I was a little skeptical at first about the double point of the sole plate but it is extremely useful when you are doing detail work. Very handy when you don't want to turn the iron around. The swivel cord is a great feature. I don't have knots in my cord and have to "unwind" the iron to get the kinks out.
David does tons of fusing and he LOVES this iron. He says it is his favorite iron of any that we own. He loves the fact that he doesn't have to worry about the burnt residue on the bottom or my unhappy face when I find it.
Do you see all the holes for steam on this thing? Do you know what incredible amounts of steam come out of this? It will also steam in the vertical position so I can steam on the design wall.
I have had a lot of irons over the years, vintage to modern. I will still keep my vintage iron because it has a solid sole plate with no steam holes and it just looks cool. But I doubt that I will be using it very often as this iron is fabulous.
An additional feature of this iron is the great price. Extremely reasonable for all features. I got mine at Home Depot and ordered on line. I had it shipped to the store to pick it up. Easy and fast.
Do you have an iron that you love? What are the features that make your heart beat faster?
