From there we headed south to Laguna Beach as David has been eying some shirts he saw a few years ago in a shop called "Thee Foxes' Trot". They don't appear to have a website but you can Google them and find location and hours. We love to stroll the streets and browse in all the local shops. It's a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon and it is inspiring to see what is in the galleries and clothing shops. Not only do I get ideas on color combinations but textures. Of course I take the camera to capture inspiration from the streets.
David and I drifted into a shop called "Art for the Soul". This store is one of the shops we always visit when we are in Laguna Beach. Lots of great eye candy in this store. Honestly, the website does not have the same feel as the store. The store is creative in it's product choices and staging but has a calm, come and browse feel. I found a wooden sign that just spoke to me. We even left the store, explored more shops, and then went back for the sign. While purchasing the sign David spotted a bracelet made with typewriter keys. I love bracelets. I would rather wear bracelets than necklaces or earrings. I now own the typewriter key bracelet which I have dubbed a "bloggers bracelet".
I am going to hang the sign in the family room where I can see it every day. This will be my reminder to focus on Romans 8:28. Do you have a favorite place you like to go to for inspiration? Do you have a saying or word that is your 2014 inspiration for the year? Let me know what inspires you.
