While in the Midwest I looked forward to the first blooms of spring. It meant that the gray of winter was finally over. This quilt symbolizes that feeling of the cold loosening its grip and the promise of warmer weather.
Painted canvas, photo printing, and applique with thread sketching. Color washes done with Stewart Gill paints and water color crayons. Beads, lace, tulle and silks.
Machine quilting with hand beading.
