This week I have been working on getting the calendars done of our work for gifts. This is my second year doing it and everyone was asking about them that got them as presents last year. I am going to have to plan to do some smaller works during the year so that I have enough for the 2017 calendar.
I am working getting my "Tranquility" piece done so that I can start "Turmoil". I did get the edges finished (I actually put a binding on this piece) so just a sleeve and label to go. I have plans that after I get the companion piece done that I will go back and add some color or embellishment to really tie the together.
I discovered a piece that I did not have up on the website (but had all the photos for) so I also did a little gallery updating. I really enjoyed creating this piece. I went through my fabrics, picked out ones that played well together and just created it on the design wall. This piece was created over several weeks using some of my favorite fabrics from Ghana batiks to Wendy Richardson's over dyed commercial pieces.
What's keeping you creative during this holiday season?
